Guadalajara.- In delicate condition a man ended up, after he and the vehicle he was driving fell into a swamp in the El Ahogado basin, in El Salto.La victim, about 55 years old, had to be rescued by firefighters because she was trapped in the cockpit. The accident occurred around 7pm in Periférico Nuevo, near its junction with the Carretera a Chapala, confirmed Civil Protection personnel and firemen from the Estado.La victim was driving a cement truck towards the free road to Zapotlanejo when he lost control of the steering wheel, for unclear reasons, and went off the asphalt.

Municipal firefighters found the vehicle overturned in the mud of the place and the driver trapped by one of his limbs, so they asked for support from his state counterparts. After more than an hour of work, the man was rescued and sent to a relief post with various injuries, including a likely fracture of the femur and left trunk, said a Red Cross medical emergency technician.The weight of the cement also complicated the task to get the truck out of the place.
