Sinaloa.- With the aim of increasing production and raising the quality of life of the fishing communities that make up the Lagunar Altata System – Cove of the Paraaloa State Pavilion, the Fisheries Management Plan Committee will be activated, for the benefit of the production units in the region. The agency will operate under a scheme of sustainability and shared responsibility, the National Aquaculture and Fisheries Commission (Conapesca) reported.

It will work, abound, in the development of fishing activity in a balanced, integral and sustainable way, based on the updated knowledge of biological, fisheries, environmental, economic, cultural and social aspects. The Committee will be composed of representatives of the fisheries and aquaculture sector who carry out their activities along the 22 thousand hectares that make up the lagoon system, conapesca authorities, the National Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Inapesca), the Government state and civil society organizations. During the previous meeting for the integration of the Committee, headed by the Directorate-General for Fisheries and Aquaculture Management of the Conapesca, it was agreed to work, in a coordinated manner on: Taking management measures for each of the fisheries.
Implement fisheries regulation actions, such as the issuance and regulation of fishing permits for the area.
Strengthen the protection and use of the resources of the Fishing Refuge.
Adapt selective and less environmentally impactful fishing arts and methods to conserve and maintain the availability of fishery resources, population structure and ecosystem restoration. 
The Fisheries Management Plan (PMP) for the Lagunar Altata-Ensenada Pavilion System in Sinaloa state includes fishing resources such as shrimp, clam, jaiba, scale fish and flora and wildlife. This PMP was developed with the support of the actors in the sector: Inapesca, Conapesca, Government of the state of Sinaloa, civil society organizations such as EDF of Mexico, Pronatura Noroeste, AC, and producers of the region. Fisheries management plans are actions aimed at the development of fishing activity in a balanced, comprehensive and sustainable manner; based on the updated knowledge of the biological, fisheries, environmental, economic, cultural and social aspects of it, developed by the Inapesca.

It is in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries, of which Mexico is a promoter and signatory; has a precautionary approach to whether fishing activities are carried out responsibly taking into account the biological, economic, technological, social and commercial aspects, and establishes principles for the conservation, management and development of resources and ecosystems. Among the production units operating in the Lagunar Bahía Altata-Ensenada System of the Pavilion are: Nueva Generación, Ensenada del Tiburon, Boca del Río Culiacán, Boca del Río San Lorenzo, General Rafael Buelna, El Castillo, Reunion Pesquero, Altata-Ensenada Pabellón, Jesús Gallardo Lomas SA de CV, La Palma, Barra de Tonina, Daniel Porter, Macario Gaxiola SA de CV, Teodoro Cervantes, El Brinco and Permisionarios Pesqueros Auténtico Ribereños SC de RL.
