translated from Spanish: Exempt those who leave from quarantine to denounce gender-based violence

In a context of social isolation, preventive and compulsory and numerous femicides that continue to happen, the Government launched an initiative for those who leave their homes to report acts of violence to be exempted from quarantine. Resolution 15/2020 was published on Sunday in the Official Gazette and applies to “lgbtI+women or people” who come out “alone or with their sons and daughters.” All situations in which they leave their homes for the purpose of making the relevant criminal complaints regarding acts of violence or are directed to require assistance, assistance or protection because of the situation of violence they are in transit shall be considered as cases of force majeure,” the official provision states.

We publish a resolution to clarify that during mandatory isolation, women and LGBTI+ people in situations of gender-based violence can leave their homes, alone or with their children, if they need protection, make complaints or ask for help. pic.twitter.com/qehWfLDK7b—Ministry of Women, Gender and Diversity (@MinGenerosAR)

The resolution takes into account that quarantine “may in some cases increase the risks of these violences.” If you are a victim or know someone who suffers gender-based violence, call 144 24 hours. In this note:
