Mayor Benito Juárez filed a complaint against youtuber Soy David Show for going to a supermarket despite knowing that he was a COVID-19 carrier.
The complaint was lodged with the Capital Justice Attorney General’s Office for the possible crime of danger of contagion, set out in article 159 of the criminal code of the common jurisdiction.
After receiving the complaint, the FGJ CDMX started an investigation folder and requested the images from cameras of the SSC CDMX, as well as individuals, to know the route made by the influencer.
He also requested information from the National Migration Institute to know the immigration status of the accused, who is of Venezuelan origin.

Mayor Benito Juárez asked for the comedian’s home and turned a trade for the Secretary of Health to report whether he was attended at his home and what the result was.
In addition to these actions, investigative police personnel visited different establishments in the area to meet with other potential affected persons.

Youtuber apologizes
A few days ago, on his YouTube channel, Soy David Show posted a video watching him walk the streets of the CDMX and enter a Superama from the Narvarte colony to buy frozen pizzas and soda.
In the video the comedian claimed to be a COVID-19 carrier and said that days earlier he had been cared for in his personal home of the Ministry of Health.

With a head covering and gloves he claimed to be “well protected” so as not to infect anyone, and argued that he needed to leave his house to buy something to eat.
After meeting the video, staff of mayor Benito Juárez came to the place to sanitize him and condemned the action of the comedian, who was also criticized on his channel and social networks.
Hours later I’m David Show posted a letter apologizing for what he did and downloaded the video from his channel.

In the text, the youtuber assures that at no time did he intend to harm or harm someone and that he left because health staff allowed him as long as he did so with the proper protection.
He also asked the authorities to be wary of the information they share as it has been discriminated against and threatened.
