Of these positive cases, 63.94% have been treated on an outpatient basis, while the rest have required some kind of hospitalization; 4.58% (315) people remain intubated in intensive hospital care.
At a press conference, the director general of Epidemiology, José Luis Alomía, explained that at the local level, 501 municipalities, 20.4% of the whole country, have recorded at least one case of COVID-19 coronavirus.

According to health authorities, there have been just over 2 million positive cases worldwide, of which 53% occurred in the last 14 days.
Authorities noted that this percentage has been shrinking in recent weeks, and the Americas region, which concentrates 44% of cases, is expected to soon exceed Europe, which has 45.5%.
The fatality rate of coronavirus in the world is currently 6.7%.
