Federal health authorities reported 145 new DEATHS by COVID-19 on Tuesday, for a total of 857 since the start of the pandemic in Mexico. 
It is the highest increase in overnight deaths from the disease in the country. The deadliest day had been last Saturday, with the record of 104 new deaths.
On April 20, that is, last Monday, Federal Health reported 712 deaths and 8,772 confirmed cases. The latter increased to 9,501, and there are 8,262 suspected cases.
José Luis Alomía Zegarra, director general of Epidemiology, reported on 3,185 active cases, that is, they began to have symptoms in the last 14 days.
This new report is given hours after the country was declared in phase 3 of the pandemic.
