President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced 10 points that will benefit the middle, upper middle class and large corporations financially, during the crisis generated by COVID-19.
This segment represents 30% of the population, while the poorest, and the first to be supported, the representative said, correspond to the remaining 70% of the population.
“We will stop, to stop, the fall of the economy, all this that has occurred with the pandemic” of the coronavirus, he said in his Sabbath message posted on his social networks.

“Yes the economy is going to fall, but we are going to improve the economic situation quickly, that is, there is going to be a quick return to economic normality, especially to the well-being that matters most to us, to that we are all happy,” he said.
López Obrador said that 70% of the population is poor, so in the first stage they will benefit from the financial and welfare supports.

But this Saturday he announced 10 points to help the middle and middle classes, so they can do business and alleviate the crisis.
As a first point, he explained that his government will not tolerate acts of corruption and impunity; with this, he abounded, will ensure that there is an even floor for any entrepreneur who wants to conduct a business.
A second paragraph will ensure that the company does not finance the colossal government apparatus, this will allow funds to be released to meet those who need it most, he said.
Thirdly, he pledged to guarantee freedoms, saying that, in the past, neoliberal governments imposed economic models by force, so their administration will not replicate these “hard-handed” models.
“We are not going to limit any freedom, on the contrary, this is a country of free women and men, the government is not going to crack down because they have carried out economic models with the use of force, of the heavy hand with dictatorship,” he said.

At the fourth point it is to guarantee the rule of law and the genuine autonomy and division of powers.
The fifth point will be to ensure that there is peace with social justice, one of the most heartfelt demands of the people of Mexico.
As a sixth action, López Obrador said there will be no tax increases or new ones. In this regard, he ruled out his government planning tax reform in the medium term.
In a seventh action, it ruled out new “petrol” and instead celebrated that, with the international fall in oil prices, the price of gasoline and Diesel is falling for the benefit of the consumer.
To stimulate economic growth and as an eighth point, he announced unprecedented investment in public infrastructure focused on the construction of the international airport “General Felipe Angeles” and the construction of the Tren Maya which, with two contracts assigned, will generate 60 thousand jobs.
Finally, as ninth and tenth points, he emphasized that the entry into force of the trade treaty between Mexico, the United States and Canada (T-MEC) will enhance the country’s capacity to house maquiladoras and stimulate the growth of the automotive industry.
With the T-MEC, which will come into force from July 1, there will be more investment, more jobs and economic growth will be detonated, he said.
