A control judge ordered the one-year precautionary measure of pre-trial detention against José “N” for his alleged liability in the murder of journalist María Elena Ferral Hernández.
After seven hours of hearing, the judge decided that the alleged person responsible, who is also a reporter, should remain in pre-trial detention for one year in papantla’s inmate, where he was admitted after his arrest.
According to the General Secretariat of Government of Veracruz, the defense attorney of José “N”, Carlos Asdrúbal Pantoja de la Cruz stated that the judge of control “linked the trial to his defendant by finding him a text message that directly involves him as a participant in the murder of journalist Maria Elena Ferral”.
The journalist was shot dead on the streets of papantla city centre, Veracruz, on Monday, March 30.
