The governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo del Mazo, reported that the National Guard will monitor 41 COVID hospitals in the entity.
“They will have permanent surveillance of the National Guard, this surveillance is very important to take care of the hospitals, take care of the medical staff who are doing their work inside, of course, and also to have a space between patients and relatives who are outside, also wanting to contact or see their relatives,” Del Mazo said in an interview with W Radio.

This announcement about the National Guard is after relatives of patients broke out at the Hospital Las Américas in Ecatepec last Friday, claiming that they did not receive information about their patients.
At least 15 people in two groups entered the hospital premises and assaulted medical, surveillance and administrative personnel from the site, according to information provided by the state government.
On Monday, it was also reported that the outside of the clinic of the Institute of Health of the State of Mexico (ISEM), was sanitized to reduce the risk of coronavirus contagion.
