translated from Spanish: I’m not against entrepreneurs but I am against the ill-spoiled wealth, says AMLO

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador assured that he is not against entrepreneurs, because the one who works, invests and generates jobs deserves respect.
“He who achieves a heritage with work according to the law deserves respect, not everyone who has is evil, I am against the malhabid wealth, those who use a public office, a relationship, and through the trafficking of influences, or by the delivery of contracts or goods become immensely rich overnight. They get big with foul-talking wealth,” he said.

During his press conference he indicated that such entrepreneurs are the ones who should not afford and are the ones to point out, and even stigmatize them as corrupt.
“These people used to be seen as an example to follow, even children were told, study, so that when you grow up you may be like a gift, a reverend thief,” he said.
Strictly speaking, people who have made fortunes under the protection of the public authorities are not even entrepreneurs, they are influencers, he stressed.

Traffic light
The president reported that the government of Mexico will develop a kind of traffic light to restart economic activities from May 17.
He explained that the traffic light would green the municipalities where there are no cases of COVID-19 contagion, in yellow where there are, but there are few, and in red where there are problems.
“From there start to see economic activities, which, the construction industry, export companies, the automotive industry, tourism and other activities. Of course, this includes back to school, which also has to be staggered, careful, everything.”
