In order to start a cross-cutting conversation that helps to think about Chile in the coming years, the horizontal think tanks (HZ), Instituto de Estudios de la Sociedad (IES), Nodo XXI and the Foundation Network of Studies for Democratic Deepening (RED), have coordinated to conduct a virtual talk cycle entitled: “Towards a new social pact? Post-Pandemia Chile Dialogues”.
The initiative seeks to establish dialogue points on some central dilemmas for the country’s future: education, health, the role of the state and the constituent process. This cycle of public conversations seeks to represent different generations and political sensitivities that affect public debate.
To this end, the executive directors of these institutions, Camila Miranda (Node XXI), Sebastián Izquierdo (HZ) and Claudio Alvarado (IES), and RED’s collaborator, Javiera Parada, have worked to organize the initiative, identifying a common look that helps to think and reflect openly on the horizons and implementations of public policies for Chile.
The first activity of this cycle, called “New Horizons for Education”, will take place next Thursday, May 14, at 9:30 hrs., through the Zoom platform.
