The Secretariat of Public Security and the Attorney General’s Office of the State arrested those suspected of triple femicide of health workers, of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), which happened on Thursday night, in the city of Torreón.
This was reported at a press conference by the governor of Coahuila, Miguel Riquelme, who indicated that the first alleged person named Luis “N”, who is a nurse of IMSS Clinic 16 and co-worker of one of the occisas.
The second alleged perpetrator, also named Luis “N”, is of machetero trade and works in the market of abasto de Torreón; he was friends with one of the deceased.

The representative stated that according to the first data from the investigation, his murder was carried out after a robbery, so he ruled out that it was for the professional practice in the area of health that the three victims performed.

Tomorrow at first hours they will be made available to the competent authorities, so Riquelme said that obvious reasons, for the jurisdiction in process they will skip giving further details until the legal deadlines allow it.
“I want to give my condolences to your close family members, friends and co-workers. To all IMSS health workers in particular, I want to send my appreciation for their work to this day,” he said.
