The General Health Council on Tuesday approved four agreements for the progressive lifting of containment or quarantine measures against the COVID-19 epidemic in Mexico. What President Andrés Manuel López Obrador defined as the return to “new normal”.

4.- From 1 June 2020 the Ministry of Health will define a weekly traffic light for each federal entity. Each color will allow certain economic, educational and social activities with specific levels of intensity.

“Returning in a staggered way seeks to give first and foremost the best of health and life, so the lifting of health measures must be progressive and with a gradual reopening.”
The National Day of Healthy Distance ends on May 30, recalled Under-Secretary Hugo López-Gatell at a press conference, so they conclude national confinement measures, however, states or regions that still have high levels of contagion will not be able to relax isolation or quarantine measures.
Only in those regions where the low risk of contagion can be seen could the school space be opened, the undersecretary said.
