Mañalich further noted that they are working “radically” to find people who were in contact with the infected senators and thus control a possible outbreak in Congress.
Preventive quarantine on the PS bench
After the case of Senator Quinteros, the first contracted senator, the seat of Socialist Party deputies, was confirmed, it will voluntarily begin a pre-trial quarantine, and that all its members will take the PCR exam, for public health reasons.
“The aim is to prevent any possibility of contagion, both among officials working in Congress and among parliamentarians, after two cases of COVID19 contagion occurring in the Senate and which had some form of relationship with PS deputies and deputies,” Emol said.
