Guns N’ Roses has turned one of the most ironic moments of the pandemic into a charity garment, selling a Live N’ Let Die With COVID 45 T-shirt on their official merchandising site.
Last week, the U.S. president visited a factory in Arizona that made essential N-95 face masks without using a face cap. That caught the attention of many, but the fact that Guns N’Roses’ version of “Live and Let Die” was ringing through the factory speakers at the same time took irony to another level. Now, a week later, Guns N’ Roses commemorates the incident, picking up the glove and mocking Donald Trump, selling a T-shirt with the phrase “Live N’ Let Die With COVID 45.” 100% of net revenue will go to MusiCares, which has established a COVID-19 aid fund to help workers in the music industry who have experienced financial difficulties as a result of the pandemic. The “45” alludes to Trump being the 45th U.S. president. The T-shirt is available in sizes ranging from small to 2XL and is available for sale on the official GN’R merch website. They will be shipped from June 10.
