translated from Spanish: What are the guidelines that companies must follow on the return of activities

Mexico.- Yesterday, on the occasion of the revival of certain sectors in Mexico, the Ministry of the Economy published the necessary guidelines for companies to return to work. These new measures seek to prevent establishments and different industries that resume their activities, prevent new contagions among staff, and not endanger the lives of employees.

As of today, May 18, some municipalities and regions of Mexico will begin with the reopening of economic activities; areas that are free of coronavirus contagion. However, in recent days, the authorities declared the automotive industry, mining and construction as essential activities, starting to work gradually from today until 1 June, when quarantine is expected to be lifted in the rest of the country. In this two-week period, companies will be trained to learn about and implement the new measures that the Government will impose within the guidelines for workers. What are the guidelines
Each company must ensure the safety, well-being and health of its employees, so the safety and hygiene protocols will be modified according to the context or rotation of the companies. However, the Government identified certain and what measures should be kept out of and enforced within the new protocols. Guiding principles should include privileging health and life, Solidarity with all and non-discrimination, Moral Economy and Productive Efficiency and Shared Responsibility (public, private and social).
