Morelia, Michoacán. – A drop in corruption in Michoacán is the perception of citizens according to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), noting that the state is advancing in this area. INEGI reports a 31.09 percent reduction in the rate of dominance of corruption in the entity, the Government of Michoacán stressed through a press release.

According to the National Survey of Quality and Government Impact (ENCIG) 2019, which was published last Thursday, May 21, it is highlighted that, of 14 thousand 847 victims of corruption per 100 thousand inhabitants in 2017, this one rose to 10 thousand 231, according to the dependency. This “is the result of strengthening inter-agency coordination and with the various orders of government, a seal that distinguishes the government of Silvano Aureoles Conejo, which has allowed Michoacán to make significant progress in combating corruption,” Huergo Maurín stressed.
