Morelia, Michoacán.- Unanimously, the LXXIV Legislature of the Local Congress, approved political violence as a form of violence against women politics, by reforming articles 9, 15, 20 and 39, of the Law for a Life Free of Violence for Women of the State of Michoacán.

The opinion also envisages reforming Article 57 of the Administrative Responsibilities for the State of Michoacán; and the third article of the Electoral Code, with the aim of also establishing the term of gender-based violence as a form of political violence against women.
The proposal of the Equality Commission was approved by a total of 24 votes of the Members present in the Legislative Palace.
