Mexico.- The National Technological Institute of Mexico (TecNM), developed a system capable of neutralizing viruses, fungi and bacteria to sanitize areas and make them safer in the framework of the health emergency by coronavirus in the world. TecNM Campus Poza Rica, together with the MI3M consortium, developed this system capable of identifying and eliminating any biological agents that could be harmful to human health. This equipment will be made available free of charge to health, academic and government institutions in order to prevent the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Xicoténcatl Reyes Cruz, of the MI3M Consortium, said that uv light equipment radiates a programmed dose of shortwave, of 250 nanometers, enough energy to eliminate pathogens present on various surfaces, for example in hospitals.

TecNM engineers, Campus Poza Rica, claim that UV-C rays can play an effective role along with other disinfection and sterilization methods in health institutions, but it is essential that people using the system have proper training and protective inputs to prevent any type of damage to the eyes and skin.
