With 816 more deaths from COVID-19 coronavirus, Health authorities reported that 12,545 people have died from the disease in Mexico.
In addition, there are already 1,033 suspicious deaths that should wait for lab results.
Undersecretary of Health Hugo López-Gatell again explained that these reported deaths did not occur in the last 24 hours, but are a cumulative of march, April and May.
According to the official, last May 17 has been the deadliest day in the epidemic with 340 deaths that day.
CoVID-19 cumulative deaths reported on June 4
So far in the epidemic, 105,680 people have tested positive for COVID-19, however 18 thousand 377s are considered active cases for reporting symptoms in the last 14 days.
According to the report released at the daily press conference, 4,442 cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours, an increase of 4%, compared to 3 June, and the highest in the numbers recorded daily by the authorities.
The director general of Epidemiology, José Luis Alomía, explained that the rate of active incidence at the national level increased to 14.4 cases of COVID-19 per 100 thousand inhabitants, with Mexico City and Tabasco as the entities with the highest burden of disease.
The occupancy of general beds for acute respiratory infections increased to 45%, as reported by COVID hospitals.
Of this type of beds, the capital of the country is the entity with the highest occupation, registering 82%, followed by the State of Mexico, with 75%.
