translated from Spanish: Yucatan switches to orange semaphore COVID; doesn’t match federal data

The Yucatan government will change its epidemiological traffic light from red to orange for COVID-19, and on June 8, other non-essential activities will be reopened.
The governor of the entity, Mauricio Vila, said that this decision was made because they do not match this week’s data from the federal Ministry of Health.

“This week we do not agree with the indicators presented by the federal traffic light since the information with which they were prepared is not updated or takes into account the additional efforts that have been made in Yucatan to expand our hospital capacity, such as the enablement as a temporary hospital of the Xxi Century Convention Center and the temporary expansion of the Hospital of Valladolid”.
“We have determined that decisions in Yucatan are not made from Mexico City, but that it is the Yucatecan experts who make them in the state, therefore we announce the beginning of the wave one of our economic revival,” the governor said.

I share with the weekly indicators of the State Traffic Light that this Monday, June 8, we will be able to carry out the economic reopening of the UNO WAVE because it marks us orange. It is necessary that we are all responsible, complying with the measures … (1/3) pic.twitter.com/H3TXWK5TBY

With this change, Yucatan is the second entity with an orange light, although only Zacatecas was determined with this color by the federal authorities on June 1.
In Yucatan can open from Monday the manufacturing, real estate and rental services, as well as those selling wholesale trade, law firming professionals, hotels in part, restaurants (with reservation) and 25% of their capacity.
Aesthetics and health clinics must receive clients by appointment and up to 25% of their capacity.
In order to open, they must comply with their registration on the reactivación.yucatán.gob.mx page.
On May 30, at least seven governors rejected the epidemiological traffic light presented by the federal government for the resumption of activities.
The governors of Coahuila, Nuevo León, Durango, Tamaulipas, Jalisco, Colima and Michoacán, expressed their dissatisfaction and announced that they will implement their own strategies for economic revival and activities.
