This with the aim of consolidating actions from legislation to boost entrepreneurs and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
During the meeting, the proposal was analysed and issued in favour, which encourages and encourages the owners of MiPyMes to participate in the tenders that the different state and municipal units make.
Wilma Zavala noted that in Michoacán more than 90 percent of companies are in the range of micro and small businesses, so it is essential to encourage and support their growth.

“Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises are of great importance in the economy and in the generation of employment in the State and including them as priority providers strengthens their activity and guarantees benefits in their income.”

The initiative to strengthen the market for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, so that they are considered as preferred suppliers for the acquisitions of goods, raw materials and movable goods, which carry out the dependencies of both the Executive Branch of the State and the municipalities, in order to raise their levels of productivity, quality and marketing of the products of the entrepreneurial Michoacans , and thereby contribute to the economic development of the State.
The coordinator of the Parliamentary Representation in the State Congress recalled that according to the statistics of the Mexican Business Information System (SIEM) 99.88 percent of companies in the state of Michoacán, are in the range of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises; In addition, of the 53,426 registered companies, only 0.20 per cent export and 0.36 per cent import.
Data provided by INEGI indicate that young people represent more than 34 per cent of the economically active population in Michoacán, the generation of formal and well-paid jobs, is today one of the most felt demands in our state, mainly in young people with opportunities to undertake, but suffer from the lack of opportunities and as a result , is that we occupy the fourth place at the national level in unemployment, with more than 30 thousand young people in this situation, the latter based on figures from the National Employment System.
It emphasized that it presented this initiative arising from the need to regulate equal circumstances in the competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the legal and formal sphere and thus also improve the working conditions of those who carry out these activities, such as mainly women, young people and persons with disabilities.

“It is of paramount importance that micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, individuals or other forms of organization to carry out acts of industry and commerce play a transcendental role in the strategies of the economic development of the State, and it is worth noting as an important fact that it is primarily women and young entrepreneurs who are in charge of them.”

Wilma Zavala mentioned that this sector has had to face instability in this activity, either because of the lack of market or because it did not know procedures and lack of opportunities to market its products.

“Tackling and addressing the problem of SMEs is one of the biggest challenges the country has, so the inclusion of the issue in government agendas at any level of government must be increasing.”
