The government of Mexico City and the Association of Banks of Mexico (ABM) announced that they will implement actions to avoid the concentration of people in bank branches for the payment of payroll in fortnight by COVID-19.

He also reported that from this Wednesday, bank branches in Mexico City will be from 10:00 a.m., with the aim of staggering the entrances of the different sectors so as not to saturate public transport.
In the medium and long term, the use of the CODI platform to make digital payments, as well as the use of any other digital application to avoid face-to-face treatment in branches, will be promoted.

The 70,800 people working in banking corporations will continue to work remotely.
“The others, who have to be in corporate offices because they do essential tasks in technology, in telecommunications, in operation, in prevention of money laundering, customer service, electronics, telephone, digital, etc., all of them will continue in the schedules they are working,” detailed the president of the ABM, Luis Niño de Rivera.
