Since 20 March, social isolation has been established in the Argentine Republic, with the aim of quelling the curve of coronavirus contagion; that is, the lower circulation and concentration of individuals decreases the chances of contagion.
However, there were cases of those who decided not to abide by the measure provided by the government, some of them publicly known as the non-compliance of Federico Llamas (27), surfer who was stopped on the Pan-American Highway after returning from Brazil; and the trainer Miguel Angel Paz (40). Both Llamas and Paz were prosecuted by the Federal Justice of San Isidro for violation of article 205 of the Penal Code, which sanctions with imprisonment from six months to two years to which it “violates the measures taken by the competent authorities, to prevent the introduction or spread of an epidemic”, according to the document accessed by the Télam agency.

In both cases the prosecution does not include imprisonment, i.e. Judge Lino Mirabelli ordered that they remain released although they must inform if they change their domicile or if they are absent for more than 72 hours of the same. The magistrate ordered to hold the embargo for 500,000 pesos that in the case of Llamas had already been dictated to him by a federal judge of Dolores, and to lock one for 100,000 pesos for Peace.The cases
On March 24 Llamas was delayed on the Panamerican Highway, at the height of Martínez, because he was driving in a van with surfboards on the roof. According to what he explained to the media and troops of the Naval Prefecture, he returned from vacation from Brazil – where he was with his Canadian girlfriend – to comply with quarantine. After his time in court, it was decided to escort him to his home -located in the neighborhood of Flores (Fabre al 1100) – so that he would remain there and abid by the obligatory isolation. However, hours later the security cameras caught the flight from his vehicle.

Llamas first went to his father’s house, in a country in the town of Canning, and then traveled to his mother’s home, in the spa town of Ostend, where he was denounced by the neighbors. There he was approached by the police and placed a few days under house arrest. For his part, The Paz case transcended the media after his violent attack on his building security personnel. On Saturday, March 14 at 9:10 a.m., he struck the vigilante of his home, located in Rosales 2793, Olivos, since he denounced him for complying with quarantine.
Gustavo Granucci notified the case of Paz who returned from the United States and failed to comply with the fourteen-day quarantine, a move the government in coordination with the Ministry of Health dictated so that the virus does not spread. In addition, Paz was prosecuted for another federal cause, “injuries and threats” for his actions against the security employee, for which he was in house prison for a few days, until a Guarantees judge granted him release.
