translated from Spanish: Heraldo Muñoz after agreement with the Government by IFE: “We did it with the most vulnerable in mind first”

The president of the PPD, Heraldo Muñoz, appreciated the agreement reached this morning between his party, in addition to others of the opposition, with the government. After intense negotiation, white smoke came out for the Emergency Plan that seeks to respond adequately to the needs of impoverished people due to Covid-19.
The main agreement is that a bonus of 100 thousand pesos per person was reached, 35 thousand pesos more than what the authority was offering.
“We are pleased with the people, so achieved with the government last night, today in the morning, for the Emergency Plan. We did this with the most vulnerable and the middle class impoverished by the pandemic first in mind,” Heraldo Muñoz said, highlighting the progress made after the first proposals.
“It was a very important achievement. First, 100 thousand pesos per person, 400 thousand pesos for a family of four, which is practically the poverty line, discounting clothing, entertainment and other things that cannot be done in quarantine,” added the helmsman of the PPD.
The former chancellor further stated that they will be “even subsidies”. “There will be a fund of 400 billion pesos for primary health, for traceability, for health residences, which is absolutely essential. At the same time, $12 billion for the entire period, the 24 months ahead, to address all the social and economic consequences of the pandemic,” he explained.
Finally, Muñoz clarified that there will also be public investment, support particularly for SMEs, and public investment with a green accent. “We said this clearly in the talks with government. In short, a package of measures from which we could not subtract,” he concluded.
