The mayor of Lomas de Zamora, Martín Insaurralde, will receive plasma treatment from patients recovered from coronavirus, after testing positive last Friday.
Insaurralde is admitted to the Hospital de Llavallol and in recent hours detected a decrease in his respiratory capacity as a result of the disease. The Peronist leader has previous conditions such as kidney failure and asthma and after “a low oxygen saturation confirmed by medical examinations, tomography and laboratory studies” will cause the transfusion.
The Ministry of Health of the province of Buenos Aires reported the previous week that 26 of the 29 critical patients who had been treated with plasma had recovered. The mayor of Lomas de Zamora tested positive on Friday and generated stupor in the political class as he had shared meetings, among others, with the Minister of Social Development, Daniel Arroyo, who was with Alberto Fernández in La Rioja that day.
Following the positive case of María Eugenia Vidal, who joined Insaurralde and the provincial DEPUTY, Alex Campbell, the political leadership is expected to take more control when conducting meetings that are not essential for management. The same path is expected to take the television channels, which on Wednesday received the warning from ENACOM to reduce the number of guests to the floor, after several positives were known in programs.
