Via Zoom and Facebook Live, this Friday, June 19, will launch the first citizen network of air quality, “Aires Nuevos para el Primera Infancia”, an initiative convened by the Horizon Citizen Foundation and the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaiso (PUCV).
The event will involve three women who permanently set political and social media guidelines: the UN Commissioner for the Defense of Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet; the president of the Medical College, Iskia Siches; and the Children’s Advocate, Patricia Muñoz.
All three will be part of the launch that will be formatted as a forum, together with mayors and representatives of different national and international bodies linked to the environment. The activity is part of the commemorations of International Clean Air Day.
Today’s invitation to launch means that this first stage of the project, which is part of the Convergence Leaders Network for Action, will begin with an air quality monitoring focused on early childhood in the communes of Osorno, Coronel, Renca, Quintero, Quillota, Placilla, Concón, La Pintana and Lo Barnechea, for further expansion to five Latin American cities.
