The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) reported that from next Tuesday, June 30, a total of 3.8 million people will be able to collect their pension for the month of July.
“In order to avoid crowds and reduce risks of COVID-19 contagion, IMSS urges pensioners over the age of 60 not to go to bank windows and ATMs on the same payday,” the Institute said.
To avoid crowding, IMSS recommended charging the days following the payment date.
Follow the health protocols carried out by banking institutions, as well as make purchases with bank cards in authorized establishments.
“They can also withdraw resources at self-service stores authorized by bank branches and make use of online banking services for payment of goods and services,” he said.
IMSS also explained that for those with pension loans, “in July 2020 the benefit of suspension of discounts will continue for those loans granted by the Institute or repayment thereof for loans granted by a financial institution in agreement with imSS”.
This benefit, THE IMSS noted, does not apply to loans that pensioners directly acquired with financial institutions without agreement with IMSS, self-service stores or other loans of the same kind.
