Morelia, Michoacán.- The mayor of Morelia, Raúl Morón Orozco, reported that the project was already approved by the federation to relocate the maneuvering yard of the train of the Kansas City Southern company of Morelia to a property located in the municipality of Alvaro Obregón
In interview, the mayor who last Friday met with Lázaro Cárdenas Batel, who was elected by the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, to be on the lookout for this near-project.
“The project is already in the Treasury, next week they will be raised the issue of resources for the Treasury, the most important thing is the departure of the Train from Morelia, we will not take our efforts to get out, we will do what is in our reach,” he said.
In this sense, he emphasized that there are at least 5 km arranged in Alvaro Obregón, so there are the physical conditions to carry out the transfer, however, the financial issue is still missing.
He added that they were already in talks with Kansas City Southern and the Secretary of Communications and Transportation (SCT) to carry out the Bridge at the level on Avenida Solidaridad, although the priority was the move of the maneuvering yard.
On the investment for the manoeuvre yard, the building said that the federation is the one who will define it, but it is already a fact that will be held soon in Morelia and that staff will come to visit the assigned site to define the expenses.
