The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) reported that retirees who receive their payment at Banco Famsa have their pension guaranteed, despite the suspension of activities of the banking institution.
Through a statement, THE IMSS stated that people who receive their pension by electronic payment at Banco Famsa must enter the portal of the Institute for the Protection of Bank Savings (IPAB) on the page https://apps.ipab.org.mx/PCOP/ and lift the corresponding clarification, in order for the return of the financial benefit to be made.

Retirees must register a new bank account with the Institute for payment of the next monthly fee.
To those who receive their pension on a payment order, IMSS stated that it “works on finding an alternate mechanism that allows it to be done in the fastest and safest way.”
For any questions or clarification, the Institute made available the telephone number 800 623 2323, option number 3, corresponding to “Pensions”, where they will be served by an IMSS representative.
