Mexico. – A child under 15 years of age was sentenced to five years of internment by the femicide of Nazareth, a student of the Agricultural Preparatory of the National Autonomous University of Chapingo.
The Agent of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office of the Attorney General of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) credited the participation of the adolescent, in the femicide of the young woman, whose body was located inside a container of water in the facilities of the most important Agricultural University in Latin America.
“After reviewing the evidence collected and contributed by this Social Representation, a Specialized Judge in Adolescents issued this detention measure against the accused, and fined him 1 million 558 thousand 682 pesos as compensation for moral and material damage,” they detailed in a statement.
This is the highest sentence that a minor can receive, under the National Law of the Comprehensive Criminal Justice System for Adolescents.
That’s how the facts happened.
The child had been reported missing on 19 December 2019, so an Amber Alert was activated; in coordination with elements of the Secretary of Security of the State of Mexico, Texcoco police and representatives of the UACh itself were conducted on-campus search brigades.
His body was located with the help of canine binomials on December 23 of that year, on the campus premises.
Who was Nazareth
Nazareth was the second of four brothers, he wanted to become an Agricultural Engineer to help his family, who is engaged in the field in the community of Achiquihuixtla Atlapexco, in the state of Hidalgo with his knowledge. However, less than a year after high school she was murdered by one of her classmates, days before she returned home to take the December vacation.
