translated from Spanish: ‘We’re filling up hospitals,’ says NL Health Secretary

“There is a great deal of concern throughout the Health Sector because the hospital system, hospitals are filling up.”
This was said this Sunday by the Secretary of Health of Nuevo León, Manuel de la O, since the entity registers an occupation of 70% of hospital beds, with the increase of cases of COVID-19 in the entity.
In total there are 1,119 people hospitalized by COVID or possible COVID in Nuevo León.
This Saturday the Director General of Epidemiology of the Secretary of Health (Ssa), José Luis Alomía, indicated that the recommended limit of hospital occupancy per entity is 70%, so that they have at least a “safety level” of 30% free beds,
“We already have nine days to exceed the figure of 600; the first few days were figures from 10 cases, 20 cases, 50, 100, 150 and today is an impressive number,” the official said of the trend of new confirmed cases.
“We can’t say that we flatten the curve, that we are no longer having new cases, that we already have control, no.”
For the second day in a row, the entity reported above 700 new cases, 735, bringing the figure to 14 thousand 489 confirmed cases.
“There were also 16 new deaths reported, 12 were men and 4 women; the youngest of the victims is a 39-year-old man with no history of illness and the oldest other 78-year-old man with high blood pressure and heart disease,” the Nuevo León government said.
