Mexico.-The brother of former Governor of Chihuahua, César Duarte named Crescencio Duarte, brought an amparo before the Third District Court in this entity to prevent him from being detained by the state judicial authorities. It was for Judge Fernando Luévano Ovalle to grant the provisional suspension against the arrest warrant of the former representative’s brother.

The incidental hearing of Crescencio Duarte is planned for July 20 at 09:00 hours and the constitutional hearing is intended to be held on August 6. The Chihuahua government accuses Duarte’s brother of being part of the former governor’s corruption network during his six-year period. The former governor is detained in the United States for criminal cases of apprehension orders by local judges from the state of Chihuahua; there is no federal arrest warrant, he said in the document.
