Zongolica, Veracruz.- Giving competition to the famous raffle of the presidential plane, the perredista mayor of the municipality of Zongolica, Juan Carlos Mezhua promotes the raffle of a “pure blood” horse, arguing that with whatever is managed to raise, it will be used for public work in this demarcation, one of the poorest in the State of Veracruz.
Juan Carlos Mezhua, municipal president of dog extraction began a few days ago promoting the raffle, copying the model of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who announced the raffle of the presidential plane; However, Mezhua Campos offered to bypass a Frisian horse with a higher cost in the market of 280 thousand pesos. The world even indicated that in case the winner does not want the copy, they will be able to receive the cash.
The paradedist explained that he would turn to the Ministry of the Interior to obtain permission for the raffle of the specimen, which was “loaned” by a friend, and to be drawn with the issuance of 2 thousand tickets at a cost of 500 pesos each, thus planning to raise one million pesos; of that total would have to deduct the value of the copy and the tax for the draw, which is equivalent to 6% of the value of the prize, which is just under 16 thousand 800 pesos.
He indicated that this mechanism was due to the reason that in the face of the zero response of the state administration headed by the morenista Cuitláhuac García Jiménez decided to carry out this game of chance, it did not even dismiss that if the horse raffle succeeds, it will “borrow” to buy a car and a cabin.
Zongolica has a population of 45 thousand 341 inhabitants according to data from the Population Census of 2019; of that total, 82 per cent live in poverty; 31.5 in moderate and 44.2 in extreme conditions.
