translated from Spanish: In Hidalgo they rescue child who was kidnapped in Guatemala

The National Migration Institute (INM), in coordination with the Office of Care for Children, Adolescents and the Family of Hidalgo, rescued a three-year-old boy of Guatemalan origin, who was illegally abducted from his country.
In a statement, the INM indicated that the minor was reported missing on 10 March and located on March 19 in the municipality of Tula, Hidalgo, after the authorities were alerted to a child with visible beatings wandering the streets, accompanied by a man who fled to see the police.
Later, he was transferred to The General Hospital of Tula de Allende, Hidalgo, in order to review and cure his injuries.
And the control judge of the Third Judicial Circuit, in the municipality of Pachuca, was asked to protect the child, to be housed in the Assistance Center “Casa Cuna” of the National System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) in that city.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office became aware of the facts and initiated a search folder for the possible crime of abandonment and injury.
Days later, an adult male of Salvadoran nationality arrived at the hospital and presented himself as the father of the Guatemalan child, however, he did not prove the kinship.
Also, a telephone call was received from a woman of Guatemalan nationality who referred to being the child’s mother and indicated that she had been illegally abducted from the country and that, therefore, there was a judicial investigation in that nation, activating – in addition – an “Alba Kenneth” search alert, similar to the Amber Alert of Mexico.
On suspicion that it was a child from Guatemala, notice was given to the representative office of the INM in Hidalgo, who proceeded to make arrangements before the Guatemalan Consulate in Mexico City, to corroborate the information and begin the corresponding administrative migration procedure.
On July 8, INM Child Protection officers carried out the transfer of the three-year-old boy to the city of Villahermosa, Tabasco, where, in coordination with the Beta Group for the Protection of Migrants, he was taken to the municipality of Tenosique, in the same entity, for the reunion and reunification familiarity with his mother.
