Mexico.- A few days ago, PAN Sen. Lilly Téllez said a group of opposition lawmakers intended to denounce Lopez-Gatell for “inept and irresponsible” in handling the epidemic by covid-19.
However, on Tuesday she announced that she will file the complaint, although she did not define before which instance.
“I will denounce @HLGatell as inept, irresponsible, criminal negligence. He lied to the citizens (sic) and the President.
“We’re fed up with politicians who only think about saving the election without seeing that people just want to save their lives and their work,” he wrote on his Twitter account.

It should be noted that on July 14, the lawmaker who came to the Senate with Morena and in April this year rolled to the bench of the PAN, reported that “a group of opposition legislators” would denounce López-Gatell for the management of the pandemic, at a time when the country has more than 35,000 deaths (figure up to that day).
At a conference with other members of the NAP parliamentary group in the Senate, he accused:
“We are looking for some senators how to charge Lopez-Gatell with criminal negligence. Lopez-Gatell is a person who wanted the floodlights, but didn’t want responsibility. From the beginning, the whole government strategy was to tell the population that only Lopez-Gatell, him and him, until he disqualified governors, disqualified everyone, because all the world had to be listened to only, and when it came to account, then he’s washing his hands.”
Téllez criticized the government’s pandemic strategy spokesman for “the victim” in the face of citizen and opposition criticism for his management of the health crisis.
“Lopez-Gatell just talks and adjusts his speech every day to what suits him, not what suits the citizens, we have had a lousy management of the pandemic because there is no scientist in charge. Lopez-Gatell is a bureaucrat, a cricket who is only seeing for looking good in front of the president of the Republic and that’s what has sunk us into this pandemic,” accused the ex-driver.
