Today there was a known strategy that will be deployed as the deconfination progresses and which includes 222 measures, including the expansion of pedestrian spaces, temporary cycle paths and extension of “bus-only” roads.
After this day became known about the mobility plan prepared by the Ministry of Transport, which will be implemented as the decon confinement progresses, the Undersecretariat for Regional Development disclosed that it will have $2.5 billion for the implementation of road projects that were prioritized by the authority.
These include the enablement of temporary cycleways, the expansion of pedestrian spaces, the demarcation of vererdas and pedestrian crossings type Tokyo, among others.
The Under-Secretary of Regional Development, Juan Masferrer, argued that “communes with great mobility have to adapt to the new way of life and, in that sense, we will help finance projects that have been technically predefined by the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications, because it is essential that we organize and support each other”.
The National Mobility Plan includes 222 measures, including the enablement of 74 kilometers of pedestrian zones, 180 kilometers of temporary cycleways and 153 kilometers of single bus tracks.
