Facebook’s recent redesign won’t be the only thing that will change on the platform. Mark Zuckerberg wants to bet on a cleaner and more transparent experience, especially in the administration of Facebook Pages. This will remove the Like button on the page cover. According to a TechCrunch report the feature has already been tested with a small number of users and administrators, and will soon be expanded to more pages.
New pages that are invited to the test will receive a message in their home feed. Upon entering the test you will notice that the button to like the site will disappear, leaving only the Follow button in sight. Here’s what the new Facebook will look like:
This is a clear attempt by the platform to make page navigation and management much easier. For years, the Like and Follow buttons have existed next door, but it never ceased to confuse many what they actually did. To like it made us follow that page in automatic, but not the other way around. To complicate everything it turned out that we can configure our preferences and never receive a post from the site we liked. This whole process is tedious for those who lead a page.
In addition Facebook will now make it easier to switch between the page feed you manage and the staff.
