Rosa Icela Rodríguez, who held this position, was appointed as Port and Merchant Marine Coordinator of the Ministry of Communications and Transport, as announced Saturday by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

For his part, the new secretary of capital government, one of the most important posts in the local administration, said that he will be attentive “to everything that happens in the prison system” of the city, and that he will listen to the demands of “different groups” social “to ensure the legality and fraternity between men and women”.
Claudia Sheinbaum said that, for the time being, it is not yet decided who will hold the position of José Alfonso Suárez in the secretariat of Capital Culture.
The change in the Secretariat of Government is facilitated by the call of President López Obrador to Rosa Icela Rodríguez to hold a new position in the coordination of ports of the Merchant Navy.

In turn, this change is preceded by a controversy: on July 17, the president also announced that he gave the military administrative control of ports and customs, he said, to combat drug trafficking and corruption.
