Tepalcatepec, Michoacán.- A series of shooting clashes between alleged criminal groups were reported tonight on July 25 in the municipality of Tepalcatepec, in Tierra Caliente.
It is rumored that it was between Sicarios of the Jalisco New Generation Cartels (CJNG) and the criminal group headed by Juan José Farías “El Abuelo”.
The Tepalcatepec Citizens’ Participation Council posted a message on Facebook alerting all villagers to “the attack of an armed group” and calling them to take refuge in their homes “and may God protect us all.”
Residents say they heard outbreaks of cohetones, which allegedly served to summon Tepalcatepec Cartel supporters.

The balance of injured or lifeless people is currently unknown, as clashes between the criminal group and the settlers continue.
According to the information, the CJNG-based van attack was extended to the Cholula National and Military Guard base, which adjoins Tepalcatepec.
