“Behaviours such as sexual and labour harassment, as well as misconduct to the standard of professionalism we have drawn, will not be tolerated in principle the public service of justice that we provide and out of respect for the work of the hundreds of judges who day by day demonstrate their responsibility to a more just and equal society,” the CJF said in a statement.
So far this year, the Federal Judiciary has suspended two other judges for gender-based violence.
One case ended with the 10-year dismissal and disqualification of another federal magistrate, sexually harassing 10 women, and for hiring the wife of a District judge, for the benefit of that official.
Last January, a federal magistrate was also suspended for six months for his alleged liability for acts of nepotism, sexual and employment harassment, as well as abuse of power against Court personnel.
