Next week Mexico City will remain at orange traffic lights and without opening new activities; while the State of Mexico will begin with the revival of cinemas, museums, cultural activities, sports and gymnasiums.
The head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum said that the capital stays, for the eighth week, at orange traffic lights because there are still no conditions to change to yellow.
“As we put it forward yesterday we are at orange traffic light for the next orange,” he said at conference this Friday.
He explained that hospitalizations are still on the downside but will wait to see the epidemic’s behavior from the opening of cinemas and museums that began this week.

Edomex reopens activities
Alfredo del Mazo, governor of the State of Mexico, announced that the entity is also at orange traffic lights but activities can resume in compliance with sanitary measures.
“It is very important that we continue to resume economic activities safely we need to be very supportive and very responsible to move forward,” he said in a twitter message.
From Monday 17 August museums, cinemas and gyms will open, always respecting hygiene measures such as healthy distance and hand washing.

He asked the Mexicans to assimilate that the way they interact and work changed with the pandemic “that from now on we will have to adapt to a new way of life”.
