The fire that has been heavily punishing the north of the province of Córdoba for more than a week continues to spread to the town of Charbonier, where the police decided to cut off the provincial route 38 (from kilometer 91 to 119), the time that several neighbors in the area are being evacuated.
This Sunday, the Cordoba government reiterated that “extreme weather conditions make it difficult for fire crews who are caught by fire. There is no moisture in the environment, the vegetation of the area (mountain mountain, palm trees and grassland) is completely dry and with gusts of wind from the northern sector”. Meanwhile, in the area of Deán Funes, La Cumbre and Dique Cruz del Eje, hydrant aircraft also work in the middle of low visibility due to smoke density. In turn, local authorities reported that with “a fire out of control, the fire progresses towards the area of Capilla del Monte y Cruz del Eje, in the Ischilin departments (it was affected during the last days with fires that burned grasslands and mountains in several fields) and Punilla are working 170 firefighters with car bombs and tanker trucks.”
The risk of fires is EXTREME throughout the province.

While the weather forecast indicates that some rains could arrive in the middle of the week – which has not been recorded in intensity since April – provincial authorities warned that the risk of wildfires remains “very high.” Two other fires took place in the province and, finally, this Saturday managed to be contained: the first is the one that affected the so-called place of All Saints; and the second is the one that occurred in Manfredi.
