The PRI and the PT continue the fight to become more deputies and become the third political force and chair the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies.
The coordinator of the DEputies of the PRI, René Juárez Cisneros, said that four PRD deputies joined their bench with the sum of 50 legislators and become the third political force.

While PT MP Gerardo Fernández Noroña said that “it is a mistake to give the PRI the Board of Directors, it is irresponsible, it is a political act that should not be consolidated”.
The deputies who left the DRP and joined the Institutional Revolutionary are: Antonio Ortega Martínez; María Guadalupe Almaguer Pardo; Abril Alcalá Padilla and Jesús de los Angeles Pool Moo, according to a letter signed by Juárez Cisneros.

“We are the third force, it is irrefutable,” the priist said in an interview with Joaquín López Dóriga on Radio Formula.

The priists’ coordinator thanked President Andrés Manuel López Obrador for complying with the rules of the lower house.
“The President of the Republic Andrés Manuel López Obrador expressed his respect for the Legislative Power, gave an opinion because it adheres to the legality.”
We’ll give the battle
Petlist Gerardo Fernández Noroña said at conference that his party will give the battle because “it is morally unworkable for the PRI to chair the Board of Directors.”
He assured that the PT worked with Morena to hold a majority and chair the Political Coordination Board and the Board of Directors in the first year of the legislature.

“Right now we’re for protecting Morena, we’re tied with PRI.” He hoped that the tricolor will not get two-thirds of the votes to preside over the Bureau.

He added that he wants the PT to chair the Board of Directors to protect President López Obrador, he even accused the PRI of murdering presidential candidate Luis Donaldo Colosio in 1994.
“What if we get into a political crisis at some point, who assumes the presidency? The president or the speaker of the House,” he said.
