Xina has been with her baby for more than 15 days of ordeal, in the heavy rains of the last few days touring the different curators, municipalities and delegations for someone to provide her with a solution. For two weeks his family and neighbors have been living inhumane situation with no solution in sight. Because of the crisis that is lived because of the pandemic, Xina and her family, who live in a humble house in the town of Lomas de Zamora, near the Camino de la Ribera, in Pasaje Laguna, block 17. He decided to rent one of the pieces he had in the back of his house to Carlos, a well-known seamstress in the neighborhood, 40 years old two months ago. Because of the rains in the area there was a power outage and as he had no news from the tenant for days, he decided to go knock on the door as he felt a very strong smell, thinking that maybe he had forgotten to throw away the trash. When he knocked on the door he received no answer and with a flashlight peeked out the window, and there he saw the man.” The gentleman was lying on his bed. I never imagined he could be dead inside the room,” the woman told THE NATION. Seeing that mr. Xina was not responding, who lives with her husband and five children, immediately called 911. Police came to the site, broke the veneer door and saw the man lying on the bed, deceased. When the ambulance arrived, doctors found that death was apparently natural causes. At the time they told the woman that the subject had been deceased for about 10 days and that they could do nothing as it was not a murder or suicide. The surprised woman commented that the man was not given any kind of study, not even to know if the cause of death was by Covid-19. When the police and ambulance withdrew, he began an ordeal for the woman who had had his body left decomposing at his house, with no answers. With her baby in her arms, she began to go through dependency after dependency in search of someone, some authority to go to her house to remove the body at the bottom of her house.

At the police station far from providing you with help or information on how to resolve the situation, you were asked for money to remove the body:
“I was asked if I had a little gold or 45,000 pesos saved to get permission from a medical examiner so I could get the body out of my house. And I said, ‘My house has a veneer roof, where am I going to get that money?'”
As the days ran, the state of decomposition caused Xina to take her young children out of the room and at the moment they are all sleeping in the same room, which is further away from the back room.
“The smell didn’t feel much at first, because the door was closed. But after the police came, the door was open and from there it was impressive,” Xina explained.
The woman went to the Municipality of Lomas de Zamora, where she was “taken the claim” and given proof, which does not solve the problem at all.

The smell already passes through Xina’s house and the neighbors attached to the claim, and in view of the no one giving them any solution, the most extremist ones, are thinking of removing the body and leaving it on public roads waiting for a crew to pick it up and take it away.
