The Andrés Bello National University (UNAB) and the Italian Institute of Culture invite you to tour the Uffizi Gallery, and carry out a virtual tour of this palace and museum containing one of the oldest and most famous art collections in the world.
The Uffizi Gallery is a museum in Florence, Italy, containing one of the oldest and most famous art collections in the world, so you can see works by artists such as Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raffaello, Caravaggio, among others.
Therefore, visiting it is a real experience that the Italian Institute of Culture and the Directorate of Cultural Extension of the Universidad Andrés Bello want to make available to all.
The tour will be guided by Ughette De Girolamo, who holds a degree in Art History from the University of Chile and a PhD in Art History from the Universitá degli Studi di Firenze, Italy. This is a totally free activity.
In this regard, the director of UNAB Cultural Extension, Felipe Karadima Skarmeta, explained that this tour was born by the idea of making together with the Italian Institute of Culture a cultural and different activity that could reach every public. And the Uffizi Gallery, he adds, has about 4 million visits a year and the value of his collection is invaluable.
“Last March 19th, we started with our Online Cultural Season, we had to reinvent ourselves and clearly this way of doing culture has allowed us to reach places far removed from all over Chile and abroad, which is great and very good because more people can access the culture offered by UNAB”, he concludes.
