In addition, he stressed: “Progress is being made at the country level to end the stigma and persecution suffered by those who use these products, and we believe that this is one of the greatest achievements, social awareness.” The ediles developed the project by articulating with scientists from Conicet and INTA, as well as specialists in medical treatments with cannabis products. The Municipality will promote studies and research related to the use of cannabis and stimulate the public production of medicines based on their derivatives. The ordinance also authorizes the personal cultivation of cannabis to “take any patients (or their legal representatives, guardians or curators) who have a medical order to undergo treatment”. A Medicinal Cannabis Cultivation Council will also be created with representatives of the Deliberative Council, Tiger Municipality, National Universities, Civil Organizations, INTA (National Institute of Agricultural Technology) and Anmat (National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology).
