Citizen Movement party senator Samuel Garcia mistook an organization that supports children with cancer with an animal shelter.
“We go to the Manitas Pintando Rainbow shelter, it’s Nuevo León’s largest refuge for animals, puppies,” Garcia said in a live video. “We’re going to go donate a ton of croquettes and two tons of cement to keep adapting and make it bigger.”

Faced with this, Manitas Pintando Arcoíris pointed out his bewilderment at the senator’s confusion, and referred that months ago he had requested Garcia’s support, without getting an answer.
Following criticism for the error, the senator went to the association’s premises.
“We thank everyone for the solidarity and empathy shown in the face of the unfortunate publication that Senator SAMUEL GARCIA referred to in one of his live stories yesterday.
Today we receive the visit of Senator Samuel García and his wife Mariana, offering a sincere apology and unconditional support to the most important things for us ‘THE CHILDREN WARRIORS AND OUR FAMILIES’ affected and who fight every day for this terrible disease,” said Manitas Pintando Arcoíris.
