Morelia, Michoacán.- The Municipal Government reported in a statement that it will apply about 3 million 982 thousand pesos in the acquisition of equipment for the elements of the Municipal Security Commission, through resources belonging to the Strengthening Program for Security (FORTASEG).
 During this year, the municipal administration has strengthened the Morelia Police by purchasing marked vehicles such as patrols, digital devices, telecommunications radios, monitors and cameras, with a firm commitment to ensuring the safety of the moreenals.
The Ministry of Administration by Gabriel Prado Fernández, carried out the process of National Public Tendering, with the participation of 11 local, state and national companies, through the Directorate of Award of Public Works and Acquisitions, which after an analysis in conjunction with the Municipal Security Commission, determined to grant the contract to the company that presented the best technical and economic proposal for an amount of 3 million 982 thousand 372 pesos.
The equipment consists of: 180 pairs of boots (Duty Gear), 940 pieces ground foot camisole, 150 tactical camisoles, 914 pieces of ground foot trousers and 180 pieces of tactical trousers, brand 5.11.
The Government of Morelia will make appropriate efforts to the Federation with a view to obtaining more resources for the procurement of protective equipment.
