translated from Spanish: Leñera 57 bets on Sinaloan ground work and Shakira cover

The members of the Mexican group Leñera 57 are located in Sinaloa with the firm purpose of successfully realizing their second production. The young northern band works in search of her dreams, so she came to the land of drums, inspired by her friend, the singer Roberto Junior, to record in the studio TX Récords, of Coyotitán, the 10 melodies that will integrate her album, entitled Rugido del León.
In an interview with Joan Arriaga (music director, composer and tubero), Luis Castorena (second voice) and Luis Felipe Castro (first voice) spoke that this group emerged six years ago, in order to bring to the public a fresh musical proposal that includes both unreleased themes (the vast majority authorship of their musical director and member Joan Arriaga), as well as sparkling versions of some covers.

The first album of the septet originating in the State of Mexico is titled Poder y presencia, and consists mainly of runs, including a collaboration with the Sinaloan singer Roberto Junior, Rugido del León (which already has video clip on music platforms since July 1), and the titled History of a Champion, which was composed in homage to the Paralympic champion Jonatan Salinas, two-time champion with a gold medal.
But not everything has been easy for these artists, who started 2020 with all the momentum, but came across difficult times that have stuck in many areas. They claim that some of their projects were paused by the pandemic, but that did not stop their spirit, so they chose to focus on working, rehearsing a lot, composing and now recording.
The new bet. The interviewees detailed that they tentatively planned to release by the end of this year Rugido del León, which will consist of eight unpublished tracks and two covers, one being Anthology, the mega-eight of Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira who will be played by Luis Castorena.

If I had a little trouble getting that song out, because the tone is very attached to Shakira’s, it is almost imitating the voice, but thank God it was possible to take out on Thursday that we recorded it”, explained Castorena, who at just 17 years old, is also in charge of performing No el olvido, a melody that popularized “La Diva de la Banda”, Jenni Rivera, and a broke (A cute girl) authorship of the musical director of Leñera 57.

They also explained that he brought them in addition to the closeness with Roberto Junior, the intention to record with various performers of the Mexican regional. The music director emphasized that they are very interested in making collaborations and for this they are in talks with the singer Carlos Sarabia, formervocalist of Banda el Recodo as well as Luis Antonio López, “El Mimoso”. He added that the above was added that they were awaiting some interaction with the singer-songwriter Pancho Barraza.
